*Job offer description at the MIT Mobile Experience Lab:*
The MIT Mobile Experience Lab is a newly established research lab within
the MIT Design Laboratory.
Our research focuses on radically reinventing and designing the
connections between people, ideas, and physical places using
cutting-edge information technologies in order to improve peoples' lives
through meaningful experiences. Our projects take place in Italy,
France, Spain, Asia, and the US.
Currently, we are looking forward to hire (for 6 weeks) a number of
people for the following job descriptions.
- A Graphic Designer who has illustration/storyboarding skills. This
person will be briefed by us to design a series of storyboards that
will eventually turn into a flash demo. We will provide the basic
guidance (e.g.: concept/ scenario/ visual vocabulary) and expect the
designer to turn them into nice visuals according to a given scenario.
- A Flash person who has an eye on design or a graphic designer who can
use flash. The task will be more or less turning a storyboard into an
interactive application under the guidance of a graphic designer. If the
person is already a good designer, he/she can work more independently.
There is plenty of work.
- A Flash programmer (someone who is experienced in action script and
XML/database interaction with Flash). This person will be in charge of
writing code for designing an interactive/live flash application that
will use live data coming from an XML stream.
Candidates are expected to provide links to their online portfolios.
